There are two main types of balloon as follows:
Latex balloon - have been around for many
years, although recently the choice of colour, finish, quality and style has
improved considerably.
There is no longer just a balloon, a bit like cars they come in standard, metallic,
pearl and special tone finishes. They also come in a wide range of sizes. You
can order 5", 9", 11", 16", 24", 30" or 36" balloons.
Latex balloons can be custom printed to meet your specific needs or are pre
printed with words like Just Married, happy Birthday, Anniversary etc or designs such as Roses or swirls like
fireworks etc.
Latex balloons can be filled with helium or air, usually determined by their job.
If they are being wall mounted or attached to tables or the stage etc they will
be air filled. Otherwise they will be filled with Helium, which means that they
will have a limited life as the helium will gradually leak out through very
small holes in the latex. We treat our latex balloons with a special
substance to slow down this process, helium filled latex balloons stay at their best for about
8 to 12
hours untreated or 20 to 24 hours and longer according to the treatment process.
By treating the balloons we can be sure that they stay up for as long as you
need.

Foil balloons - The range and style of
foil balloons is huge, these are generally pre printed although it is possible
to have them printed or written on by hand. They vary from plain
colours like pink, gold and silver to fully patterned with messages pre printed
on them.
They also come in various shapes, round, heart shaped or even stars, they
come in different sizes too.
Foil balloons are usually filled with helium to enable them to float,
generally helium filled foil balloons stay up for sometime making them excellent
presents or gifts for relations and friends to take away after the
Wedding.
In terms of price latex balloons are generally much cheaper than foil
balloons for three reasons.
1. Foil balloons are made of materials that are more expensive.
2. Require sophisticated printing techniques to apply the pictures and
messages.
3. Are more expensive to buy from our suppliers.
Latex balloons filled with helium range from £1.10 to £1.75 subject to the
quality size and print requirements.
Foil balloons range from £2.50 to £6.50 for the majority with larger ones
costing up to £15.00 each.
